DAFT3 Annual Report
Transforming a Pentagon-bound annual report into a strategic communication tool for executive decision-makers.
Client:
Department of the Air Force Technical Transition (DAFT3) Program Office
Industry:
Government | Defense | Innovation
Services:
Executive Communications • Annual Report Design • Information Architecture • Visual Storytelling • Publication Design
Each year, DAFT3 produces an annual report that communicates technology transfer activities across the Department of the Air Force.
As a key deliverable submitted to Pentagon leadership, the report needed to clearly communicate a year's worth of complex data, accomplishments, and strategic initiatives.
Previous editions were dense, visually outdated, and heavily text-driven, making it difficult for leadership and stakeholders to quickly understand the program's impact.
The goal wasn't simply to redesign the report—it was to transform it into a communication tool that leaders would actually want to read.

I still get dressed for work—even when nobody is watching.
Working remotely has been amazing, but I’ve learned something about myself: how I show up impacts how I work.
Putting on an outfit.
Making coffee.
Sitting down at my desk.
Starting my day intentionally.
It creates a mindset shift.
There’s something about feeling ready to tackle the day that changes your energy.
Remote workers… where do you fall?
👔 Team “dress like you’re going into the office”
☕ Team “business on top, pajamas on bottom”
😂 Team “whatever gets the job done"
